CHRISTMAS GIFT-MAKING WORKSHOP
Why not make your own special gifts this Christmas to give to your loved ones?
These three-hour creative workshops will get you into the festive spirit, as our designer Jenny Smith, of The Scottish Soapworks, will teach you how to make some gorgeous treats that will make perfect stocking fillers.
In the first hour, you will concentrate on the traditional calligraphy letter-making and learn the basics. Then you will practice on acetate to get an idea of what it will look and feel like, so you'll have plenty of time to experiment and play with ideas. You will move onto working with the glass baubles once you feel more confident, to ensure they look fantastic! As you will be working on glass, you will use special gold, silver and black pens, which will have a very Christmassy aesthetic.
Refreshment breaks - featuring locally sourced products - are an important part of The Arienas Collective experience. We are fortunate to have a fantastic range of independent shops and producers nearby who we love to support. Our breaks allow time to socialise, make new friends, and chat to the artists.
Our artists will support you throughout the workshops, offering one-to-one guidance and tips on design, as well as encouraging collaboration through sharing of ideas within the group. They will do their best to answer any questions you may have.
The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a supportive and welcoming home environment in the Edinburgh New Town. Spaces are limited so our artists can offer hands-on help and support. All equipment is provided, as are all the materials you will need. Just turn up, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in creating something unique.
The price for the workshop includes all materials and refreshments, and of course you get to take all the products your have created home to enjoy and inspire you, or to give to family and friends as unique gifts.
Please note: The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor open plan reception room and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please let us know of any skin or food allergies when booking.
