Our annual open day is coming up and we'd love you to join us for some mulled wine and a mince pie (or maybe two!).
The open day is your opportunity to come along, see our gorgeous workshop space, watch free demonstrations, enter our prize draw, talk to some of our artists and support them by shopping from them. If there's a class you've had your eye on then now's a great time to pop in to see a free demo and find out if you want to learn more!
Many of our artists will be with us throughout the day and would love to chat with you and answer any questions you may have about their workshops. If you fancy watching a demonstration then check out the timings below and pop along at the right time!
All demos are free.

Artists pop up shop
The Arienas Collective was founded to support local artists in making a living from their work. If shopping locally and supporting local artists and makers is important to you then we hope you'll pop along to shop their gorgeous work.
The artists that will have work for sale include:
Anna is a jeweller specialising in working with recycled silver. Her bee range is her most popular and she will be selling exclusively at the Arienas Collective this christmas
Cass is our bookbinding workshop tutor. She will be making some mini books to purchase during the open day
Mark Kirkham aka the Edinburgh Sketcher started sharing his doodles and sketches in 2010 and now works full time on his art offering commissions, prints and merchandise featuring his work
Gary is a photographer (and Anna's husband!) specialising in landscape and architecture photography. He recently won an award in the Classical Edinburgh photo competition and two of his photos are currently exhibited at the City Arts Centre as part of the exhibition.
Lauren is our latest workshop tutor and will be teaching sewing and embroidery workshops. She is a mixed media artist heavily inspired by retro patterns and colours to create unique embroidered jewellery. Each piece begins as a painting and is finished with stitch and as many embellishments that will fit! Lauren will be selling some of her embroidered brooches.
Lou joined the Collective as a tutor of our printing workshops this year. She is an artist and printmaker and one of her pieces was chosen for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year. Lou will be selling some of her screen prints, letterpress and screen printed notebooks
Lucy is a Welsh artist based in Edinburgh and teaches our macrame workshops. She will be selling some of her plant holders - a perfect gift!
Jenny Smith from the Scottish Soapworks will be bringing a selection of soaps including made to order initial letters. All products are natural and sustainable using only the best quality essential oils and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Products from the Scottish Soapworks make excellent gifts and stocking fillers!
Suzanne teaches some of our painting and printing workshops. She is a contemporary still life and portrait painter and will be bringing some of her artwork.
If there is anything that the artists have for sale on their websites that you would like to collect from them please do get in touch with them directly to let them know.
We will have gift vouchers for our workshops for sale - the perfect christmas gift! You can also chat to us about upcoming workshops and book in person.
We will have a prize draw of gorgeous gifts donated by our artists as well as a workshop gift voucher.
We would love to see you on 23rd November and hope you can pop in that Saturday.
