In this workshop we will capture both crowds on the streets of Edinburgh, and also close up portraits from within the Scottish Portrait Gallery.
Using ink and watercolour, and under the guidance of Mark Kirkham, the Edinburgh Sketcher, you will finish and mount two A4 pieces.
Places are limited to eight or under on this more advanced sketching workshop in order to provide more one-to-one tuition.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has attended one of Mark's Introduction to speed-sketching workhops, or has previous experience of sketching. If you are unsure whether it is suitable for you, please email us before booking.
The price includes access to all the equipment you will need, all materials, plus a hot drink served with cake or biscuits. You will also take home your two mounted sketches.
Please note that our workshop space is based on the first floor of a Georgian mews house and unfortunately we do not have lift access.
Advanced sketching - people and crowds: 13 November 2020 10am - 1.30pm
The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a supportive and welcoming home environment in the Edinburgh New Town. Spaces are limited to allow our artists and designer-makers to offer hands-on help and support.
All equipment is provided and all the materials you will need (unless stated otherwise). Just turn up, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in creating something unique.
Refreshment breaks are an important part of The Arienas Collective experiences. They are a time to socialise, make new friends and chat to the artists and designer-makers. We are fortunate to have a fantastic range of independent shops and producers nearby and are proud to feature locally sourced food and drinks. The price includes all materials unless stated otherwise, refreshments, and of course you take home all the unique products you have created.
All our experiences are also available to book as a private group email us for more information.
