The research is in: journalling has been shown to have a long list of beneficial effects on mental health and well-being.
In this workshop, led by local artist and writer Julie Galante, you’ll be invited to start your own journalling practice in a welcoming and supportive environment.
We’ll discuss different ways to approach a writing habit - including gratitude journalling, morning pages, and more - and try out some of them together.
We’ll explore ways to use journalling to promote mindfulness, calm, and focus in your life.
While writing materials will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring along their own journal or notebook and favourite pen or pencil if they’d like.
The workshop will also include a break with light refreshments.
Please note that The Arienas Collective workshop space is based on the first floor of a Georgian mews home and unfortunately there is no lift access.
Journalling for beginners: 21 January 2021 6pm-8.30pm
The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a supportive and welcoming home environment in the Edinburgh New Town. Spaces are limited to allow our artists and designer-makers to offer hands-on help and support.
All equipment is provided and all the materials you will need (unless stated otherwise). Just turn up, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in creating something unique.
Refreshment breaks are an important part of The Arienas Collective experiences. They are a time to socialise, make new friends and chat to the artists and designer-makers. We are fortunate to have a fantastic range of independent shops and producers nearby and are proud to feature locally sourced food and drinks. The price includes all materials unless stated otherwise, refreshments, and of course you take home all the unique products you have created.
All our experiences are also available to book as a private group email us for more information.
