SILVER CLAY JEWELLERY TASTER

Release your inner creative and create a pendant or pair of earrings from hallmark-quality silver on our Silver Clay Jewellery Taster workshop, run by Edinburgh jeweller Anna Campbell.

You will learn how to make jewellery out of a material called silver clay, which is made up of recycled silver particles, an organic binder and water. Silver clay requires with very little equipment so it's perfect for those wanting to learn a new skill they can easily do at home.

You will be taken through all the steps to create your own piece ready for firing. The dried clay is fired with a butane torch to form it into silver (but a crème brulé torch will do the trick!). You’ll then polish your silver jewellery ready to take home.

This taster is perfect for giving you an idea of the possibilities of this unique material. You can then choose to move on to one of our more advanced jewellery making workshops if you wish.

Our artists will support you throughout the workshop offering one-to-one guidance and tips on design, as well as encouraging collaboration through sharing of ideas within the group. They will do their best to answer any questions you may have.

The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a supportive and welcoming home environment in the Edinburgh New Town. Spaces are limited so our artists can offer hands-on help and support. All equipment is provided, as are all the materials you will need. Just turn up, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in creating something unique.

The price for the workshop includes all materials and refreshments, and of course you will take home your very own handmade silver jewellery.

Please note: The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor open plan reception room and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please let us know of any skin or food allergies when booking.
