STILL LIFE + FLOWER PAINTING COURSE

Artist Suzanne Kemplay graduated in Painting and Drawing from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. She works from her studio in Edinburgh, and has exhibited at a number of Scottish Galleries. Suzanne is predominantly known for her still life work and photorealist flower paintings.

On this course, Suzanne will share the basic techniques of painting such as mixing colours, shape and form, tonal values and composition. Working with acrylic paints, you will learn about colour mixing techniques, colour values and how brush strokes can be applied in various ways.

The course is designed to encourage, and give confidence to, beginners, while also helping those who want to develop their painting skills further. It is available to book as a complete course (28 hours), as individual 2-week blocks (5 hours), plus as a weekend course (13 hours) to suit different levels, skills and interests.

Please bring brushes and a paint palette with you. If you don't have your own, we can supply these initially and recommend what to buy for future classes. All other materials are provided, and refreshments are also included.

The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a supportive and welcoming home environment in the Edinburgh New Town. Spaces are limited so our artists can offer hands-on help and support. All equipment is provided, as are all the materials you will need. Just turn up, leave any day-to-day worries behind, and immerse yourself in creating something unique.

Please note: The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor open plan reception room and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Please let us know of any skin or food allergies when booking.
